We are looking to direct hire someone with 3rd class Operating Engineer experience, for our client in Brampton.
Assistant (3rd class) Operating Engineer needed immediately
$44.86/hr + plus premium if working shift
Shift will be continental but may be required to do shift work (M-F) when required.
Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining equipment and systems to thermally process waste, produce steam and treat flue gases. Systems include but are not limited to: waste incinerators, air pollution control systems, heat recovery boilers, air cooled condenser system, etc…
- Completing minor and preventative maintenance activities as required
- Identifying, diagnosing and resolving operational problems
- Assisting maintenance services and other operations personnel as required
- Completing “housekeeping” duties as required
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in operation and maintenance of thermal and power generation equipment, as well as experience with municipal solid and waste incineration equipment
- Ontario Stationary Engineer Third Class certificate of qualification
- Background in Solid Fuel Boilers
- Cogeneration experience
- DCS or PLC Control Systems experience an asset
- Familiar with operation of DCS and operator interface stations
