Are you an experienced CNC Programmer, looking for full time day shift work in the Whtiby area?
CNC Programmer needed immediately in Whitby
$34 – $38/hr, depending on experience
Monday to Friday, Day Shift (8am to 4:30pm)
Overtime after 44 hours, extended hours might be required
Responsibilities:
- Develop, modify and optimize CNC programs using CAM software
- Set up CNC machines including tooling selection, offsets, feeds, speeds and verification runs
- Fine tune CNC parameters to ensure efficiency, accuracy and repeatability
- Troubleshoot machining issues
- Support production flow by responding to urgent CNC programming or set up needs
- Operate CNC machines when required, to validate programs or support production demands
- Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software
- Produce components or tooling internally as required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant CNC programming and machining experience – must be verifiable
- Advanced experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks, CAM and CAD software
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Diploma in CNC machining, Tool & Die, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology or a related field
- Ability to stand, walk crouch and work around CNC machinery for extended periods
- Exposure to noise, machining fluids and standard industrial conditions
- Use of required personal protective equipment
