We are looking to direct hire two 2nd class Shift Operator Engineers, for our client in Brampton.
Shift (2nd class) Operating Engineers needed immediately
$110K per year salary
Primary Shift Engineer will be working continental shifts
Relief Shift Engineer will be working shift (M-F, 8 hour days) – will need to work continental when required
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and supervising operations employees (assistant shift engineers, loader operators)
- Allocating work assignments
- Monitoring, diagnosing and resolving operating issues
- Assessing the quantity and quality of work performed by operating employees
- Ensuring the site is operated in compliance with H&S and Environmental standards
- Complete regular inspections of all facility operations
- Coordinate equipment repair with Maintenance Dept.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in operation and maintenance of thermal and power generation equipment, as well as experience with municipal solid waste incineration and heat recovery equipment
- 5+ years experience in the supervision of shift operations
- Ontario Stationary Engineer Second Class certificate of qualification
- Familiar with the operation of DCS and operator interface stations
