Waterblaster needed immediately in Waterloo
$23/hr
5 to 6 days per week, Day Shift (5am – 7am start time)
3 month contract – possibility to go longer
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day to day monitoring or assigned project
- Maintain cleanliness of tools & equipment and industrial services shop
- Power washing and high pressure water blasting as required
- Line snaking, drain and pipe inspections as required
- Industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous wastes
- Confined space entry/rescue as required for industrial services projects
- Working in tight or cramped spaces
- Working while using respirator or supplied air breathing apparatus
- Shoveling, jack hammering, squeegee, scraping and heavy lifting as required
- Operate pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, etc…
- Operate aerial boom lift/scissor lift when required
- Operate 1500psi to 40000psi high pressure water blasting units
Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years experience in Industrial Cleaning and Maintenance strongly preferred
- Experience working in Industrial settings an asset
- Previous experience with vacuum trucks, industrial power washing or water blasting or liquid waste industry strongly preferred
- Previous experience with Confined Space Entry or Work at Heights an asset
- Experience working with Respirators and Supplied Air Systems an asset
- Lift truck, scissor lift or zoom boom ticket an asset
- Ability to work flexible hours/shifts, days, evenings, nights & possibly weekends or holidays
- Class G license required
- AZ/DZ License is considered an asset
- Must be comfortable with driving and maneuvering a pick-up truck and trailer unit
- Friendly and professional, able to deal directly with customer contacts on site
- Ability to multi-task, take direction and work without supervision or within a team at times
- Working in areas that may be extreme hot or cold
- Working at heights greater than 3 meters
- Will be required to wear protective gear i.e.; fall arrest, respirator, tyvek suit etc…
- Health and safety conscious and orientated
- CSE and CSR both an asset
- Technician will be required to operate the vacuum hose and shovel when required
